What is Ashwagandha Root?

Updated: Mar 17, 2021

Stressed?

Hella anxiety?

This powerful little herb might be for you!

Ashwagandha is a small shrub consisting of yellow flowers native to India & North Africa and is part of the adaptogen family (adaptogens are natural substances that help the body adapt to stress & exert a normalizing effect on bodily processes)

Watch this quick little reel I put together for more benefits it provides. My favorite way to incorporate it into my day is through a quality tea but some clients prefer a capsule better, totally your preference!

Say you’re a little skeptical about eastern & herbal medicine? Don’t just take my word - In a randomized double-blind placebo-controlled study of safety and efficacy of high concentration full-spectrum ashwagandha root extract in reducing stress and anxiety in adults was proven to improve an individuals resistance towards stress, thereby improving one's quality of life (Cited from PubMed)

Have you taken ashwagandha before?

Let me know in the comments below - And if you're super digging ayurvedic practices be sure to also take a peek at my other posts on Tongue Scraping & the mindfulness practice Vishnu Mudra

Until the next one!
